We drove to Pullman, WA - to participate in Jordan's beginning Vet School - - university furnished this yummy lunch for all students, family and friends.
We were so happy to see Jordan - Heidi and Stefan had to work and were coming later.
We got to tour the Vet Hospital - very interesting.
This is the large animal part of the hospital ... notice the foot pads everyone had to step in and get cleaner on their shoes - also hand cleaner often - trying to avoid germs and infection for people and animals.
This is a 'tilt' table - it lays flat and the horse or cattle are loaded in it - then the rails close and it tips with their feet through the holes - and then they can have their feet worked on.
This is the recovery room for horses - they can kick and roam without being hurt - also they have a pool for recovery of leg injuries - load the horse or cow and then lower the floor into the water.
WA is part of a cooperative since Idaho, Montana and Utah don't have a Vet School - Moscow, ID, Bozeman, MT and Logan, UT - students can take the first two years at Idaho, MT State, and Utah State - the finish their last two years in Pullman.
