Talus's Baptism

Thursday Ben's parents came to VA - Jennie and children came Friday - Emilee and Ben took us all out to dinner - this is Em's favorite Papusia's (sp) - El Salvadorian food - yummy and cheap - you knew that if Em loved it right?  So much fun to be with family for wonderful events!
The weather was overcast and sprinkling ... at least not the lightening and thunder that was forecast!  It was so special to be at the James River - Tal was pretty excited....Ben also!
Here are most of the people gathered to support Talus - since the dock and boat ramp are owned and operated with a Home Owners Association - there could have been many people wanting to use it Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend ... Emilee was happy to have a drizzling of rain to keep it very private!
Talus and Ben going down the ramp to deeper water - note Grandpa Pike and Grandpa Smith serving as witnesses - we recalled Jesus being baptized in the Jordan River, Joseph Smith in the Susqauahanna...(sp)  usually I'd get out my dictionary but it is packed.
We all went out to breakfast afterward - both McDonalds and Eienstein Bros. bagels - the boys had a booth to themselves.
The adults had several tables - fun to be together.
At the Church - so much fun to be with cousins - Sophie and Grace sang: I am a Child of God, while Sophie played her ukulelle - awesome!  Noah gave the opening prayer and Luke spoke about baptism and the Holy Ghost - Baden gave the closing prayer --- it was wonderful and special ... so glad we got to be there.
