Jody-Ann visits Utah

Jody-Anna Llwellyn came to visit - we met her in Ocho Rios - she was in Seminary there ... she served a mission in Jamaica and Cayman islands - she is living in Tacoma for the summer and hoping for a visa extension to stay and attend school.  It was so awesome to have her visit Utah.
The Provo City Center Temple - - Jody was amazed at all the church buildings  here - we counted over 35 in about 20 miles - Utah County.
Provo Temple - Jody would like to come to BYU - we visited the International Student Dept. and they were encouraging!
Heather and Eli, Keenyn - the Kroeber's visited Jamaica and met Jody in Ochie.
Here we are in front of the Walnut Tree - Jody didn't know what they were - "apples?"

At dinner with Elder Martin (?) and wife, Chrina Hudson and Jody....Connor Tracy came later.
It was so fun to remember good ole times in Jamaica with these wonderful people!!

Sunday, August 6th, Tait's Blessing Day

Sunday August 6th, Robert Tait Fairbanks was given a wonderful blessing by his father - helping were both grandfathers, uncles and friends.
What proud grandparents and parents - all loving Tait so much.
What a darling family - such happy smiles!
These girls sure love their little brother!
 Group Hug!!
Proud Papa, Pretty Mama and dearest little son.

Back to Colorado

Kurt's family visited and played with their Harrison cousins until late Saturday.  Sunday morning it was fun to see that the older kids left their shoes at the door,  Clark made it down the hall before realizing he needed to leave his shoes!
Clark in one of the Russian Hats Kate brought back - he said it was really warm!
Kurt and kids pack up the truck for the drive back to Parker ... we'll miss them.

Fun in Provo

Fun breakfast at I-HOP with Kurt and boys .. Clark's joke:  where does a one legged man go for breakfast?  I-Hop!
Bowling at Fat Cats with the Fairbanks family - Christian caught the biggest fish - Clark scored the highest of all the kids bowling - 101!!
Birthday party at our house - so nice to have company over - Clark's other joke - "my friend said that an onion is the only food that can make you cry - so I threw a coconut at his face."
We didn't have candles so I drew 72 on the frosting!!
Heather took pictures of our siblings reunion - what a bunch of old folks!!  Derrell asked who was pinching his bottom!
My three brothers - not too bad for being so old.
Gramps and Granny's grave - Craig's grandkids decorated it.
Sisters - so much love - it was a nice evening.

Leaving for Home

The last night campfire - Dad told me that when they all got to the campsite on Beaver Creek, Monday afternoon - Clark went right to the pile of logs and starting chopping with the axe and didn't stop until it was chopped all the way through!
Sam and Isaac were the first to leave Thursday morning - early! thanks Polly for the use of the car - they sure enjoyed it.  Sam had a plane to catch in Salt Lake in the early afternoon.
Jason, Luke and Noah were the next to leave - still early morning - they wanted to get to South Dakota so had a long drive - sure glad they could come.
Kurt, Christian and Clark stayed and helped clean up everything - load the boat and canoe on Stan's truck.  Thanks boys - Jason mentioned to me how polite and nice they were all week.

the Whole Crew

The whole crew - Grandpa Smith, Sam, Jason, Stan, Kurt - - Isaac, Christian, Joel, Noah, Clark and Luke - missing 6 grandsons - Talus and Baden, Eli and Keenyn, Sheffield and Tait!!
Julie, Thia and Grandma joined for a picture - and Riddick.
What handsome men we have in our family!
Happy 75th Birthday Grandpa, Dad, Harold!  Julie and I brought the cake from Costco ... We had all that good food and could only eat about one third of the cake.  I took it to the cabin next door - who had about 4 big teenagers - I asked the young lady coming out the door if they would like some chocolate cake - a teenage boy yelled from inside the cabin: "Is that a trick question?"  they made short work of it and thanked us over and over...nice treat when you are camping.

More Fishing fun

Uncle Stan took the boys out for some tubing fun - and they loved it!  Only injury was Noah got a bloody nose from an elbow hitting him in the face.
Ready for fun - Stan would turn the boat and the boys would hang on tight!
 Two at a time!
Thia  'riding' Riddick - like Jordan used to do Maverick.
Thia is so funny ... she'll be playing around the house and then all of a sudden 'stand on her head' - Julie calls it her "Upside down baby" - I tried to get a picture of her doing it at home but wasn't fast enough - - did get it at camp!
All of us eating Jason's delicious trout, chicken and vegetables, and blueberry cobbler dutch oven dinner ... so yummy!
Clark would go out on the dock and catch the little fish, all the time.  I am very grateful for the men in the family that have taught the boys how to fish - providing for themselves if needed!
